Produce, chase, verify.
An export shipment's paperwork is not one job. Some documents Expodite generates from the order itself. Others a carrier, a chamber or an inspector issues, and Expodite tracks from requested to verified. Letters of credit, their presentations and amendments live on the same order.
Expodite's document engine covers three kinds of document on one order: what it generates from the order record — proforma, commercial invoice, packing list and more; what a third party issues and Expodite tracks to verified, such as a certificate of origin; and the customs export declaration, applied for and returned by Customs itself.

A proforma is retyped into a commercial invoice, a packing list is built separately again, and a certificate of origin or a phytosanitary certificate sits in an inbox until someone remembers to chase it. A letter of credit adds its own deadline, on top.

Generated from the order
The proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list, delivery note, shipping instructions, VGM declaration, beneficiary certificate and statement, bill of exchange and bills-for-collection cover letter are produced from the order's own data, so quantities and values can't drift between them.

Tracked to verified
A certificate of origin, a phytosanitary or fumigation certificate, a health certificate or an inspection certificate is requested, uploaded and marked verified against the same order, so its status and deadline are visible, not filed away.

The customs declaration
Expodite prepares the data; the declaration itself is applied for and returned by Customs, and attached to the order once it is.

Letter of credit management
Terms, presentations, amendments and discrepancies are tracked on the order carrying the LC, so its deadline sits next to the documents it will be presented with.

Stage checklists
A workflow stage can carry its own checklist of tasks, each routed to the permission responsible for it, so a document requirement is a task with an owner, not a note.

A document set that can't contradict itself.
One source of truth
Every generated document reads the same order record, so a quantity fixed once is the same quantity everywhere it prints.
Nothing chased from memory
A third-party document's status — requested, uploaded, verified — and its deadline are a field on the order, not a fact in someone's inbox.
An LC deadline that's visible
Presentation dates and amendments sit on the shipment they belong to, next to the documents due against them.
Questions
Documents, answered plainly
- Does Expodite file the customs export declaration for me?
- No. Expodite prepares consistent data for it; filing, submission and clearance happen through Customs and Nafeza, as they always have.
- Who issues the certificate of origin?
- GOEIC, on its own forms. Expodite tracks the certificate from requested to verified and attaches it to the order; it never issues one itself.
- Can I add a document type Expodite doesn't already know?
- Yes — an organisation can add its own document types and templates alongside the system catalog.
